The puppy we kept from our litter "Sam" has grown and is now as big as his mom Lexi!
The kids really wanted to go camping this summer! We weren't sure about going with 5 little ones, so we thought we'd try a campout in our backyard first. We all slept out in our tent in our backyard for 2 nights. We had a campfire and cooked our meals outside. The kids loved it, and well, Jon and I were glad to get back into our bed after that. It was very cold and our airmatress would not keep air in it longer than a few hours at a time.
Dad teaching the kids to paint our fence.
One of several unsucessful fishing trips in the past year. Caleb was proud of the seaweed he caught though!

We've all worked really hard on our 2 gardens this year and have had a bountiful harvest thus far. Half our backyard has stuff planted in it, and we also have a rented garden plot through the city which is in these pictures. It has been so good for the kids to plant stuff and watch it grow and then be able to pick it, clean it, chop it up, eat it and share it with friends and neighbors. Our freezer if full and we've done lots of canning too. It is much easier to get kids to eat their veggies when they've grown them themselves!
Jo-Jo's been walking since 10 months, and is now trying to run everywhere he goes! He is into everything and is starting to try to say the words we say.
The boys like to pretend they are bonking head dinosoars-so silly. . .
Mia is 7 months old now and crawling around. We are starting adoption paperwork now.
